Primary Focus:

As a Senior Technical Enablement Engineer, your mission is to empower Ingram Micro partners through expert pre-sales consultation, strategic training, and technical education. You'll help partners build and scale their practices by leveraging emerging vendors, high-value services, and cutting-edge FinOps solutions-including Apptio, Instana, Turbonomics, and HashiCorp.

You'll cultivate trusted relationships with resellers and vendors, driving transparent collaboration and aligning business strategies to accelerate growth. By elevating partners' technical proficiency and business acumen, you'll position them to win more deals, deliver greater value to their clients, and grow faster with Ingram Micro.

Key Responsibilities

  • Solution Enablement:
    Deliver impactful training and demonstrations on modern business needs, desired outcomes, market trends, and emerging technologies-especially within the FinOps ecosystem.
  • Partner Development:
    Guide partners to become proactive, service-led advisors to their customers, with a focus on profitability, innovation, and long-term success.
  • Strategic Influence:
    Provide thought leadership and actionable insights to key stakeholders, encouraging investment in scalable growth initiatives through Ingram Micro.
  • Technology Focus:
    Specialize in FinOps solutions including Apptio, Instana, Turbonomics, and HashiCorp, helping partners unlock new efficiencies and opportunities in cloud cost management and performance optimization.

What It Means to Be a Sr. Technical Enablement Engineer

You consistently drive exceptional partner outcomes-often achieving 2x to 4x growth compared to baseline peers-by helping resellers capitalize on emerging technologies and market shifts. You go beyond technical specs, articulating real-world business value and fostering consultative, agnostic relationships. Your approach is holistic, strategic, and results-driven.

What You Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience (minimum 5 years in a technical enablement or related role)
  • Deep expertise in FinOps technologies: Apptio, Instana, Turbonomics, and HashiCorp
  • Strong understanding of channel sales models and experience with resellers, distributors, and vendors
  • Exceptional communication skills-able to simplify complex technical concepts for diverse audiences
  • Proven ability to manage multiple initiatives in a dynamic, cross-functional environment
  • Strategic problem-solving mindset with a proactive approach to challenges
  • Willingness to travel within your region to support partners and attend industry events
  • Demonstrated success in influencing stakeholders and driving adoption of technical solutions

The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $97,100.00 - $165,100.00 per year.

The ranges above reflect the potential annual base pay across the U.S. for all roles; the applicable base pay range will depend on the candidate's primary work location, pay grade, and variable compensation plan. Individual base pay within each range depends on various factors, in addition to primary work location, such as complexity and responsibility of role, job duties/requirements, and relevant experience and skills. Base pay ranges are reviewed and typically updated each year. Offers are made within the base pay range applicable at the time of hire. New hires starting base pay generally falls in the bottom half (between the minimum and midpoint) of a pay range.

At Ingram Micro certain roles are eligible for additional rewards, including merit increases, annual bonus or sales incentives and long-term incentives. These awards are allocated based on position level and individual performance.
