Global Support Business Analyst (Finance)



The Basics:

Tanium is looking for a curious, driven, and hardworking individual to bridge the gap between our technical teams within the Global Support organization. As a Support Business Analyst, you will provide value-add business insights, improve support operations and build efficient processes that drive growth by translating business requirements into actionable solutions, which may involve process improvements, system enhancements, training initiatives, and automation.

This role will interact with various teams and levels of management, and involves analyzing support data, identifying trends, and collaborating with various teams to enhance customer experiences, therefore the right candidate must have the ability to effectively communicate.

*This is a hybrid position, which will require in person attendance 3 days a week in Addison, Texas.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyzing Support Data: Examine data related to support interactions, such as timing related to first response, escalations, and resolution to identify patterns, trends, and areas for improvement.
  • Collaborating with Teams: Work closely with support engineers, software developers, professional services, and other relevant departments to surface identified issues and help implement solutions.
  • Developing Solutions: Transform business requirements into powerful solutions that drive efficiency and effectiveness, including process enhancements, and automation within tooling.
  • Monitoring and Evaluation: Monitor effectiveness of implemented solutions and evaluate their impact on support operations and customer satisfaction.
  • Communication and Documentation: Effectively communicate findings, recommendations, and solutions to various stakeholders including support teams, management, and customer success teams, as well as documenting processes and requirements.

What You'll Do:
  • Designing, implementing and maintaining highly-scalable and robust data pipeline architectures to handle large-scale data processing and storage.
  • Leveraging advanced statistical and machine learning techniques to analyze large datasets, uncover insights and trends, and provide actionable recommendations for business decisions.
  • Writing highly efficient, performant and optimized SQL queries against large datasets to extract meaningful insights from data
  • Developing interactive, visually-appealing, and highly informative dashboards and reports using Power BI, to effectively communicate business performance to key stakeholders.
  • Leading the development of complex forecasting models and KPI dashboards to effectively communicate business performance to key stakeholders.
  • Bringing expertise in data science and data engineering with a proven track record of delivering high-quality data analysis and insights that drive business results.
  • Continuously exploring, researching and staying up-to-date with new technologies and tools to improve data analysis and visualization capabilities.
  • Proactively identifying business trends, providing recommendations and driving business growth with technical expertise and business acumen.
  • Proficient knowledge of Salesforce or ServiceNow platforms

We're Looking For:

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field such as Computer Science, Business Analytics, Statistics, Business Management, Economics, Finance or a related field

Experience and Skills

Must Haves:

  • 3+ years of professional work experience in data analysis, data science or related field; preferred proven experience working within high-growth, technology companies
  • Proven ability to analyze and solve complex business problems, with a track record of driving business growth through data-driven insights and recommendations.
  • Strong experience in data pipeline development, data warehousing and data modeling with expertise in SQL and other relational databases.
  • 2+ years of experience with data visualization and reporting tools, including advanced proficiency in Excel, Power BI, Tableau, Periscope and other similar tools.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to effectively present to and communicate with senior management and stakeholders.
  • Proven track record of staying up-to-date with new technologies and tools to improve data analysis and visualization capabilities.

What you'll get

The annual base salary range for this full-time position is $60,000 to $175,000. This range is an estimate for what Tanium will pay a new hire. The actual annual base salary offered may be adjusted based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, location, education, skills, training, and experience.
