Business Systems Analyst II - Regional Shop Floor implementations (Information Technology)

JOB SUMMARY

 

Conducts business process analyses and assessments, and preliminary cost/benefit analyses to align information technology solutions with business initiatives at the regional level, working with multiple sites and customers. Confer with organizational units to gather user requirements, and to develop and deliver detailed specifications from which programs will be written.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Analyzes complex business problems to be solved with automated systems.
  • Identifies gaps and provides technical expertise in business requirements for system functional specifications and scales new and current systems, processes and procedures in a cost effective manner.
  • Configures system settings and options; plans and executes unit, integration and acceptance testing to meet business requirements.
  • Designs details of automated systems.
  • May provide consultation to users in the area of automated systems.
  • May provide region wide solutions to complex problems and customer requests
  • May lead cross-functional linked teams to address business or systems issues.
  • May be client-focused, working in conjunction with Professional Services and Outsourcing functions.
  • Documentation of enhancements, bug fixes, knowledge based articles and wiki updates on a daily basis
  • May include company-wide, web-enabled solutions.

 

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

 

  • Bachelor's degree + 8 years of experience, or Masters + 6 years of related experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience actively working on IT projects of medium size and/or scope with complex matrixed teams.

 

PREFERRED SKILLS/COMPETENCIES

 

  • Fluent in English language
  • Oral and written communication skills.
  • Interpersonal and consultative skills.
  • Experience manufacturing processes and SF implementations
  • Analytical thinking and problem solving.
  • Proficient on documenting business requirements, scope of work, process diagrams, etc.
  • Being detail-oriented and capable of delivering a high level of accuracy.
  • Familiar with manufacturing environments, and ERP/SFC/MES solutions.
  • Knowledge on Software Development Life Cycle, Agile/Scrum methodology, Test Plans, User Acceptance Tests.
  • Ability to create Gantt charts/ project management / timelines.
  • Technical knowledge on SQL queries, SW Design tools, MS Visio
  • Knowledge in Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, others) is a plus.

As Business Systems Analyst for Digital Factory in Americas, you will participate in MES 4.0 deployments in Americas sites, coordinating IT & Ops teams to conduct successful migrations from legacy shop floor control systems and implementation for Jabil's new customers. Besides MES 4.0 deployments, the Business Systems Analyst will promote the Digital Factory ecosystem proliferation in the region and the Mendix proliferation in the IT & Ops teams.
