PowerBI Business Analyst- Hybrid (Information Technology)

Rationale: This role involves applying clinic operations knowledge to create interactive reports and dashboards using PowerBI. These reports and dashboards will identify key performance indicators used in the day-to-day management of all organizational Clinical Service Lines and Operational initiatives. This role will assist in the interpretation and evolution of actionable insights used within the organization.
The ideal candidate will possess strong operational knowledge, analytical and technical skills, ability to proactively identify additional data sets relevant to the furtherance of actionable information, and the ability to effectively communicate insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Job Duties:
Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and understand how the available information can be optimized to report on and manage objectives, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
Develop and maintain interactive PowerBI dashboards and reports that enable data-driven decision-making.
Automate delivery of reports to stakeholders, managing distribution lists, segregating information based on need to know and application of specific KPIs related to differing groups.
Extract, clean, and transform data from various sources into a PowerBI friendly format.
Design data models and create relationships between data sets to optimize reporting and analysis.
Analyze business trends and provide insights/presentations to support strategic planning and operational efficiency in a compelling way.
Work with IT, Finance/Accounting, and other key teams to ensure data integration and compatibility with PowerBI.
Monitor data quality and perform regular maintenance on reports and dashboards.
Provide training and support to end users on how to utilize PowerBI reports and dashboards effectively.
Collaborate with business teams to define reporting needs and continuously improve the reporting process.
Document report specifications and manage project timelines for report delivery.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
Proven experience as an outpatient healthcare Business Analyst or Data Analyst, with at least 2-3 years of hands-on experience in PowerBI within a clinic environment.
Proficiency in PowerBI Desktop and PowerBI Service, including report building, data visualization, and DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) for complex calculations.
Strong understanding of data modeling, ETL processes, and data warehousing concepts.
Experience with SQL, Excel, and other data analysis tools for data extraction and manipulation.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights for stakeholders and report out in various methods such as PowerPoint, written analysis, etc.
Preferred Qualifications:
Operational experience in an ambulatory care setting
Experience working with clinicians and operational resources
Experience with other data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, QlikView).
Knowledge of cloud-based data platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS).
Understanding of business intelligence methodologies and best practices.
Familiarity with Agile or Scrum project management methodologies.
