Post-Closing Auditor / Packager (Finance)



Position Summary:

The Post Close Auditor/Packager will play a critical role in two areas within our SBA 7(a) loan company. The first area is providing post-close work by completing required tasks for the Closing department and the bank, along with auditing closed loans for completeness and accuracy. The second area is in providing assistance to the Closing department during the origination process by packaging the loans and obtaining SBA approval via Etran. This position focuses on attention to detail with the audits and extensive document gathering and management to expedite the loan process and ensure compliance with all necessary requirements.

Job Duties - Post Close Auditor:

Verify Etran has the correct closing date, maturity date, payment amount, and UOP. (Save a snip to file if any changes are made)
Track the receipt of the comfort letter from the closing attorney.
Track receipt of disbursements from the closing attorn and disbursing agent(s)
Provide copy of fully-executed loan documents to Borrower and all third-party reports.
Upload the T&C and 159s and Broker Invoice(s) to Etran.
Follow up on post-close documents (as needed, per loan basis).
Follow up on obtaining proof of UCC releases and/or recorded vehicle titles, when applicable.
Audit Jack Henry input
Set up Lereta Tax Tracking
Complete Post Closed SBA file reviews on new SBA loans.
Acquire, execute and/or complete any necessary documentation required for a clean file to ensure readiness for internal and external audits.
Understand and adhere to Community Bank & Trust SBA Loan Policy and the SBA SOP compliance rules and regulations.
Ensure deficiencies are accurately resolved and documentation is received within established deadlines.
Escalate all unresolved issues to management, where appropriate.
Perform other duties that may be required.


Job Duties - Packager:

Check SBA Form 1919s for accuracy, as well as the Form 1919 Certification and Addendum - work with closer to resolve
Clean up file by moving documents to appropriate folders and rename according to naming convention
Complete draft of Beneficial Ownership forms
Handle input into Etran for compliance Pre-Check
Complete Seller's Consent and Certification
Input loan request into Etran to obtain SBA approval. Resolve Hold Codes to obtain SBA approval, working with staff and the Borrower as needed.
Print and save the SBA Terms & Conditions in the loan folder.
Prepare and update Credit Logs - notify Closer if any financials are about to expire, update as reports are received, and ensure all reports are in file.

Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills, including ability to ascertain and respond to customer needs and meet the bank's objectives.

A team player able to work effectively in a team fostered, multi-tasking environment.
Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, e.g. Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook


Education and Experience:

Bachelor's degree from a 4-year college in Business, Accounting, or Finance preferred
Minimum of one year of experience in commercial/SBA lending
