Location/Region: This position is located in Dublin, CA but will cover the US. Possible 100% Travel.
What's the role?
The Field Service Engineer Level 3 is an advanced level field service position that has met the FSE Level 2 requirements and necessitates frequent use and expert knowledge of industry practices, techniques, and standards required to install, service and maintain assigned systems. Success in this role requires an advanced understanding of the theory, application and technical workings of all required equipment and an ability to work independently on them in a customer setting. Success requires the ability to support a given account base, retain contract customers, complete PMs on time, and perform administrative duties accurately and timely. Level 3 FSEs must utilize their training to effectively and efficiently, diagnose and troubleshoot issues they encounter in the field, as well as provide mentoring and support for more inexperienced FSEs. Level 3 FSEs are expected to escalate quickly and via the appropriate process when customers complain or when technical support is required to resolve a challenging issue. This is a customer-facing role and therefore strong interpersonal skills and an ability to communicate effectively are required to be successful. Excellent time management skills are a must to be a successful Field Service Engineer. Level 3 FSEs are expected to be technical experts on the designated product line(s) within their assigned territory and among the entire service team. Level 3 FSEs will be expected to coach and mentor Level 2 and Level 1 FSEs in technical and administrative aspects of the FSE role. Thorough knowledge and understanding of ZEISS SOPs and Service processes must be proven.

The annual pay range for this position is $97,000 - $122,000 + OT and a Company Car
The pay offered for this role may be influenced by factors such as job location, scope of role, qualifications, education, experience, & complexity/specialization/scarcity of talent.
This position is eligible for a Performance Bonus.
