Pediatric Primary Care Nurse Practitioner (asst/assoc.) Non-Tenure (Finance)

Doctoral degree from an accredited institution or the highest degree appropriate in the field of specialization (DNP or PhD) with a demonstrated record of achievement in teaching, academic research, and service.

Must meet university criteria for appointment to the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor (non-tenure earning).

Additional Minimum Qualifications:

Current or ability to be licensed in the state of Florida as an APRN by the start date.

National Certification as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner in Primary Care.

Minimum of three years of clinical experience as a PPCNP.

Minimum of three years of academic teaching at the graduate level.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with curriculum development and accreditation processes.

Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

Demonstrated record of grant writing and/or research in nursing or healthcare leadership.Working at USF

This is a non-tenure track faculty position at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor, depending on qualifications and experience. The role includes both academic leadership and teaching responsibilities.

This is a full-time, onsite leadership role based at the USF College of Nursing. In-person presence during standard business hours is expected. Remote work option is not available for this position.

The Concentration Director is responsible for the academic and operational oversight of the PPCNP concentration, including:

  • Leading curriculum development, implementation, and evaluation
  • Recruiting, managing, and mentoring faculty
  • Collaborating on clinical placements and maintaining relationships with external partners
  • Ensuring compliance with accreditation standards and supporting continuous program improvement initiatives

In addition to program leadership, the Director will engage in teaching, scholarly activity, and service appropriate to faculty rank. This role is instrumental in shaping the next generation of pediatric nurse practitioners and advancing the mission of the College. Apply
