Supply Chain Analyst

Position Summary

G&J Pepsi-Cola is looking for a Demand and Supply Chain Analyst who will report directly to the Senior Director of Supply Chain. This position will have an active role in developing weekly, monthly, and quarterly demand forecasts for internal and external customers. The candidate will also work closely with the production scheduler to align on production timing and quantity for new item and limited time offer (LTO) product launches. In addition, the candidate will play a pivotal role in partnering with operations, sales and field sales on projects designed to improve supply chain process and or reduce operating costs.

Essential Functions

  • Generate accurate and timely forward looking demand forecasts

  • Maintain and improve current forecast database or systems and software used in forecasting

  • Partner with Brand and Marketing teams to develop forecasts for new product launches and LTOs; order raw materials necessary for production

  • Work with production scheduler to align on appropriate production timing of packages to cover customer activity and new item launches

  • Provide 30-60-90-180 day supplier raw material forecasts

  • Manage and develop raw material supplier relationships. Be the main point of contact for supplier questions.

  • Develop and utilize reporting to identify forward looking demand and supply opportunities

  • Conduct weekly forecasting call with executive and selling teams

  • Provide transparency into forecasts by utilizing systems to demonstrate forecasts to the organization and benchmark actual results versus forecast

  • Develop and maintain contact list for all suppliers

  • Partner with operations team on projects to improve processes and/or reduce operating costs within the supply chain

  • Maintains confidentiality of financial information, pricing and product costs, customer information, and other sensitive and confidential information.

  • Works assigned schedule, exhibits regular and predictable attendance and works outside of the normal schedule as required to meet workload demands. Performs other related duties as required.

Education Level

Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business management, information systems, or related field required

Experience

1-3 years of experience; preferably in a CPG environment

Computer Skills

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite: Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Access

  • Proficient with developing and interpreting Power BI reporting

  • Ability and willingness to learn new systems and software

  • Knowledge of VIP Beverage Software a plus

Additional Requirements

  • Ideal candidate would have an understanding of supply chain operations in a manufacturing and distribution environment

  • Proven strong quantitative and analytical skills, including demonstrating experience identifying, defining, and resolving complex problem, and interpreting data to establish facts and draw valid conclusions to provide effective solutions.

  • Demonstrated excellent written and verbal skills with ability to convey complex information to internal and external customers in a clear and concise manner.

  • Proven ability to coordinate multiple projects and tasks simultaneously. Must demonstrate strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills

  • Capable of working independently with little direction from management; self-motivated
