WHAT YOU'LL DO
As a Systems Engineer, you'll architect, implement, and manage our hybrid infrastructure environment, balancing on-premises systems with cloud solutions. You'll drive operational excellence through automation, standardization, and modern infrastructure practices while ensuring security, scalability, and reliability across traditional and cloud environments.
Major duties and responsibilities:
· Hybrid Infrastructure Management
o Design, implement, and maintain virtualization platforms (VMware ESXi, Microsoft Hyper-V, Nutanix AHV)
o Administer and optimize both Linux (RHEL, Ubuntu) and Windows Server environments
o Architect and manage hybrid cloud and data center infrastructure integration
o Implement backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity solutions across platforms
· Automation & Platform Engineering
o Develop infrastructure automation using PowerShell, Bash, Python, and IaC tools
o Implement and maintain configuration management across hybrid environments
o Create standardized deployment processes for on-premises and cloud workloads
o Build self-service capabilities to improve team efficiency
· Operations & Excellence
o Lead incident response and troubleshooting for critical infrastructure issues
o Implement comprehensive monitoring and observability solutions
o Manage capacity planning, hardware refreshes, and cloud resource optimization
o Document and maintain system architecture, processes, and runbooks
o Collaborate across cross-functional teams and vendors

o Network, storage (SAN/NAS/Object), security

WHO YOU ARE
To perform this role successfully, the Systems Engineer must be able to satisfactorily perform each duty. The requirements listed below represent the knowledge, skill, education, and overall experience required for the role.
Experience & Education
· 5 years of hands-on experience in enterprise IT environments with both on-premises and cloud technologies
· Strong background in virtualization platforms (ESXi, Hyper-V, or Nutanix)
· Demonstrated experience with both cloud and Server administration
· Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience
· Excellent troubleshooting abilities and a systematic approach to problem-solving
· Strong communication with a passion for innovation and continuous improvement
Technical Expertise
· Advanced virtualization platform management and optimization
· Strong networking fundamentals and implementation experience
· Experience with automation tools and scripting languages
· Knowledge of cloud services and hybrid integration patterns
Preferred Certifications
· AWS/Azure/GCP Professional Certifications
· DevOps/SRE Certifications
· ITIL Certification
· Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) or Microsoft Certified: Windows Server
· VMWare/Nutanix Certifications
