View Point Health Adolescent Crisis Stabilization Program is a short-term, 24/7 residential crisis unit located in Decatur, Ga. The Crisis Stabilization program provides psychiatric crisis intervention and stabilization services to adolescents, 14-17 years of age. We are looking for a master's level Behavioral Health Clinician to join our multi-disciplinary team as an Admissions Clinician to provide screening/review of referrals for admission and assessment of psychiatric/addictions risk/needs of individuals referred for care. We provide person-centered care and assist with implementing our unit programming based on Dialectical Behavior Therapy.
Under broad supervision, performs psychosocial assessments, treatment planning/monitoring and discharge planning. Provides counseling/therapy to clients requiring complex intervention. Performs commitment determinations and/or executes orders of involuntary commitments. May serve as a team leader.
Duties& Responsibilities:
Oversees Clinical, Admissions, and CPS Teams
Responsible for managing Clinical and Admissions Staff with monthly staff schedules, new hire orientation/training, training, and monitoring compliance and quality standards as part of their annual performance measurements/ evaluation as well as documenting and addressing disciplinary actions.
Review and complete clinician and admissions staff time sheets and approval of PTO requests in Paycom.
Attending Medical Director's Meeting as requested and provide clinical results for meeting monthly, as well as provide suggestions for ongoing clinical improvements.
Attend and lead treatment team to manage flow and balance of discharges, accuracy of legal forms, suggestions, and support of clinical interventions (challenging placements, Community Support, etc.)
Completes Clinical and Admissions audit monthly
Audit charts for Clinical Accuracy/ Adherence and gives regular feedback to clinicians. Ensur
Comprehensive Assessments/Tx Plans are completed within 24hrs, 2 DBT skills identified at Safety Planning, etc.
Audit charts and various admissions trackers for compliance with admissions process and requirements
Compile clinical and admissions audit results for Medical Director's Meeting and PIC meetings as well as give feedback/coaching to staff based on audits and place in staff file for Performance Measurements.
Participate in Leadership Team and Projects.
Attend monthly PIC meeting.
Assist in facilitating unit meeting every other month.
Assist in facility wide Team approach of interdisciplinary customer service approach and DBT programming.
Ensure program adherence to DBT distress tolerance model.
Responsible for responding to client complaints and proactively intervening to prevent complaints.
Provide after-hours support to team for clinical input related to discharge/admission or milieu question.
Leadership on-call coverage rotation every 4-5 weeks for one full week.
Required to answer work phone when on-call.
May be required to come on site if there is an emergency during their on-call shift.
Assist with Unit coverage if necessary.
Clinical and Admissions Discipline Meeting/ Minutes and Sign in- 1 time a month.
Update Clinical Training Manual and Admissions Manual as needed.
Responsible for Failed Claims/Activities and all other QA reports be corrected weekly.
Assist with Identification, application, and tracking of grant funding as needed.
Assist with Clinical Caseload, groups, and 72-hour reviews when needed
Oversee and Manage Family Transitions Program.
Monitor and assist with Authorizations as needed (initial, concurrent, PRTF's for SCS, Medicaid, and CMO's).
Meet with Visitors, facilitate tours of unit, and engage with outside agencies to establish potential collaboration and linkages of care.
Intervene and support law enforcement calls.
Facilitates admissions to the facility
Ensures admissions team is monitoring the bed board for potential admissions and coordinating intakes.
Supervise to ensure accurate and clear information is recorded about referrals, enrolls and discharges individuals from program in the ECR and GCAL Board, as appropriate.
Supervises the flow of admissions and discharges of the unit.
Ensures clients are screened and appropriate for admission based on DBHDD policy and exclusion criteria by supervising Admissions clinicians.
Ensures initial and concurrent treatment authorizations are done within the required time frames.
Supervises the intake calls to ensure all are handled appropriately.
Helps to coordinate outpatient/community referrals/OTA's/ walk in's (receive and evaluate) and the prioritization of services for clients based upon presenting needs and coordinates this with Admissions team.
Ensures Admissions clinicians are updating the census throughout the day.
Ensures all chart documentation is scanned and uploaded into the ECR within 24 hours of discharge.
Maintains databases, logs, and other records of routine information.
At CACSU--verifies insurance coverage.
Makes sure monthly tracking for KPI's is submitted along with occupancy and denial rates.
Assist with finding or providing Coverage for the Clinicians or Admissions Clinicians when necessary (callouts or lack of coverage).
Supervises ST's and interns that may work at the program (Fully Licensed Team Lead Only).
Supervises CPS-P staff for the unit.
Assistance during external review audits.
Interviewing and hiring open positions within clinical department, and assistance with interviewing for other departments.
Completion of quarterly Fidelity Report (C&A CSU only) and ERF Reports.
Respond to inquiries from DBHDD as they occur.

Minimum Qualifications:
Master's degree in a related area from an accredited college or university AND licensure in the area of assignment AND Two years of related post-license experience OR master's degree in a related area from an accredited college or university AND licensure in the area of assignment AND Two years of experience at the lower-level Social Worker, Licensed 2 (HCP051) or position equivalent.
Note: Licensed as an LAPC, LPC, LMSW, LCSW, LAMFT (associate or full licensed required)
Preferred Qualifications:
Full licensure preferred but will accept associate licensure with strong experience
One (1) year of experience working in an inpatient or CSU environment
Requirements/Competencies:
Must be able to lift 20 pounds.
Requires long periods of sitting/standing.
Must have valid Georgia driver's license and Motor Vehicle Record in accordance with company policy.
Candidates for selection must pass a criminal background check (including fingerprinting).
Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and subject to random drug screens.
Any combination of training and experience, which would have enabled the applicant to acquire the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities Note: Some positions may require a valid driver's license.
