CNC Machinist- Prototype (Manufacturing)

We are seeking a highly skilled and meticulous CNC Machinist to join our prototype team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and programming CNC machines to produce complex, high-precision medical device components for R&D and new product development. This position requires a strong understanding of machining principles, an eye for detail, and a commitment to quality in a fast-paced, innovative environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Set up and operate multi-axis CNC milling and/or turning centers (Fanuc controls experience a plus).
Interpret engineering drawings and blueprints to determine machining processes and specifications.
Develop and optimize CNC programs (G/M Code) for efficient and accurate production of prototype parts.
Select and apply appropriate tooling, work holding, and cutting parameters for various materials (e.g., stainless steel, titanium, plastics).
Perform in-process and final inspections using precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, CMM, optical comparators) to ensure adherence to tight tolerances.
Collaborate closely with engineers and R&D teams to troubleshoot design issues and provide feedback for manufacturability improvements.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, adhering to all company safety and quality standards (e.g., ISO 13485, FDA regulations).
Perform routine machine maintenance and minor repairs.
