Risk Transformation Manager (Remote, US) (Finance)

A Day in the Life

As the Risk Transformation Manager, you will lead strategic initiatives that strengthen Medtronic's enterprise risk posture, working closely with global teams across the organization. You will be responsible for designing and delivering risk insights, automating key risk measures, and ensuring the successful execution of risk mitigation plans. You will also regularly present findings and recommendations to senior leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the identification, assessment, and prioritization of enterprise-wide risks using Medtronic's established Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) framework.
  • Support the Operational Risk program across various domains including Site, Supply Chain, IT, and Business Continuity.
  • Architect, automate, and monitor key risk indicators (KRIs) and metrics for both Enterprise and Operational risks.
  • Drive risk mitigation efforts by capturing and reporting on risk activities, mitigation outcomes, and areas for improvement.
  • Develop and deliver executive-level presentations that clearly communicate risk insights, mitigation progress, and strategic recommendations.
  • Oversee medium to large-scale, cross-functional risk-related projects, ensuring delivery against scope, timeline, and stakeholder expectations.
  • Use advanced data analytics to connect multiple data sources, identify trends, and provide actionable insights to support risk-informed decision-making.
  • Collaborate globally across functions and business units to promote a strong risk culture and integrated approach to risk management.

Must Haves:

  • Bachelor's degree AND minimum of 5 years of relevant experience OR
  • Advanced degree with 3 years relevant experience

Nice to Have:

  • Demonstrated leadership, communication, and influence skills, including experience presenting to senior executives on sensitive and confidential risk topics.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to turn data into clear, actionable insights.
  • Technical acumen and experience managing large, complex projects from ideation through execution.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor content to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Experience with PowerPoint and executive storytelling for senior-level presentations.
  • Strong process orientation and change management experience.
  • Ability to self-direct and manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Proven ability to bridge technical risk concepts with strategic business objectives.
  • Experience working in a global, cross-functional environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint).
  • Familiarity with industry-leading risk platforms (e.g., AuditBoard, LogicGate, ServiceNow).
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken); additional language proficiency is a plus.

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$133,600.00 - $200,400.00

This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).

The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).

The following benefits and additional compensation are available to those regular employees who work 20+ hours per week: Health, Dental and vision insurance , Health Savings Account , Healthcare Flexible Spending Account , Life insurance, Long-term disability leave , Dependent daycare spending account , Tuition assistance/reimbursement , and Simple Steps (global well-being program).

The following benefits and additional compensation are available to all regular employees: Incentive plans, 401(k) plan plus employer contribution and match , Short-term disability , Paid time off , Paid holidays , Employee Stock Purchase Plan , Employee Assistance Program , Non-qualified Retirement Plan Supplement (subject to IRS earning minimums) , and Capital Accumulation Plan (available to Vice Presidents and above, or subject to IRS earning minimums).

Regular employees are those who are not temporary, such as interns. Temporary employees are eligible for paid sick time, as required under applicable state law, and the Employee Stock Purchase Plan. Please note some of the above benefits may not apply to workers in Puerto Rico.
