Paul Saw Operator (Frames - 1st Shift) (Manufacturing)

Summary of Duties and Responsibilities:
The Paul Operator is responsible for Inspecting the quality of the incoming material, marking out defects found in frame stock to company standards, as well as data entry on daily material use. Preventive maintenance and housekeeping tasks.

Essential Functions and Duties:
Responsible for reviewing daily schedules as to sequences and wood species to be used.Responsible for visual inspection and grading of material stock to quality standard.Responsible for preventive maintenance action items performed daily at company standards.Responsible for complete work orders executed per schedule and in sequence.Responsible for leading by example in regard to attendance, PPE requirements, breaks, and to drive compliance in all areas.Additional duties as assigned by Frames Supervisor.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Must be able to perform data entry tasks both electronic and written
Must be able to distinguish wood species, colors and finishes.
Must be able to perform basic math skills and the ability to read a measuring tape.
Must have a strong sense of urgency in completing assigned daily duties as needed
Must have a basic ability for reading and writing,
Education and Experience
Must have a high school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent. Will take work experience in lieu of Education.
Physical Requirements and/or Working Conditions
Factory Distribution environment, will include some heavy lifting, and areas where eye protection, and hearing protection are required.
