Engineer III Analytics- Enterprise Security (Information Technology)



Position Title: Analytics Engineer – Enterprise Security

Role:  

The Analytics Engineer – Enterprise Security will collaborate with the Enterprise Security leadership team to create data visuals and processes that support cross-functional team members across all levels of the organization.  These responsibilities and deliverables should lead to business insights and enhance operational and risk-based analytics, leading to a lower risk profile and enhanced security. 

 

Responsibilities 

  • Deliver ad-hoc analysis, automated dashboards, and self-service reporting tools to surface key insights to stakeholders 
  • Develop and maintain efficient data pipelines  
  • Create complex data models for business data analysis and reporting purposes 
  • Implement rigorous data quality processes to ensure accuracy and data reliability  
  • Enable automation and notifications from data insights 
  • Use technical and business data knowledge to translate and transform complex raw data into consumable, clear data visualizations that inform leadership on the health of the business 
  • Analyze data for patterns, trends, and anomalies.  Escalate findings to the appropriate team for review and remediation. 
  • Create and maintain a data dictionary that defines key metrics, data elements, and transformations 
  • Partner closely with technical and business teams to complete requirements gathering, testing and successful delivery. 

 

Education/Certifications   

  • Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Math, Business Analytics or related field 

 

Experience/Minimum Requirements   

  • Five (5) + years' of work experience in delivering BI solutions with a strong preference of experience working in the Power BI service 
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize, organize and work effectively on multiple complex requests/projects in a deadline-driven environment   
  • Expert knowledge of data mining principles as well as data mining and visualization tools (e.g., WebFocus, Power BI) required 
  • Expert knowledge of one or more coding languages and tools (e.g., SQL, JavaScript, R, Python, Excel VBA, RAW, SAS) preferred 
  • Expert knowledge of configuring and maintaining BI platforms 
  • Expert knowledge of data warehouse concepts

  • Ability to effectively articulate technical challenges and solutions to business users and other technical teams 
  • Ability to work with structure and unstructured data 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills 
  • Ability to influence conversations and work through building of relationships, thoughtful framing of issues, and building influence through excellent work.    
  • Meets project deadlines by providing accurate estimates of effort required for committed deliverables 
  • Ability to continuously prioritize long-term plans with short-term urgent response needs. 

 

Working Conditions: This is a remote role with the expectation of on-site/in-person collaboration with teammates and stakeholders for moments that matter. 

 

Compensation: 

The pay range offered for this position is $102,500-$128,000 annually. A candidate's offer is determined by various factors including but not limited to, depth of experience, role-related knowledge and skills, relevant education or training, internal alignment, and work location. Depending on the position offered, the compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of a discretionary annual cash bonus or commissions, and equity incentives. Employees (and their families) are eligible for medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance. Employees are able to enroll in our company's 401k plan. Employees will also receive a minimum of 18 days of paid time off each year and 12 paid holidays throughout the calendar year.
