About the Role: As an Electronic Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our industrial electrical equipment and control systems. Your responsibilities will include installation, repair, servicing, and troubleshooting of electrical components and systems to support daily production operations. Job Responsibilities
Safety First: Demonstrating a strong safety orientation and maintaining high safety standards in all assigned work areas.
Troubleshooting: Testing and diagnosing issues with electrical and control systems and components.
Installation: Installing new and repaired equipment components to ensure optimal functionality.
PreventativeMaintenance: Performing routine maintenance and housekeeping activities to ensure equipment reliability and cleanliness.
TechnicalWork:
Working from drawings, manuals, and schematics to troubleshoot, repair, install, and calibrate electrical equipment and devices.
Handling distributed control systems, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), motors, sensors, transformers, starters, relays, switches, and other industrial electrical components.
Documentation: Preparing logs and reports to record work summaries, test results, and maintenance activities.
Interpretation: Reading and interpreting prints, schematics, manuals, specifications, and manufacturer documentation to determine appropriate procedures and troubleshooting techniques.
The Electronic Technician will also actively and continuously support continuous process improvement initiatives in a team-based environment. Specific Skills
Be at least 18 years of age
Eligible to work in the United States and for the Altria family of companies
Available to work on any shift, and must be willing to work overtime, weekends and holidays
Regular, reliable, and predictable attendance
Must possess three (3) or more years of experience as Industrial Electronic Technician
Have preferably completed an apprenticeship or journeyman's card, technical school, equivalent military technical training, or an industrial technology degree
Background in troubleshooting and installing Microprocessor based digital control, programming variable frequency drives/Servo Drives and other Industrial Electronic Equipment
Background in Windows Operation Systems to include Excel, Word, PowerPoint and DOS
Strong grasp of NFPA 70E arc flash ratings and standards
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to trace and diagnose malfunctions using hand tools and test equipment such as multi-meters
Experience with 3-phase 240/480 volt power distribution systems
Experience in robotics troubleshooting
