Essential Job Duties:
Establish a marketing & community relations program that promotes the agencyshospice servicesand fosters strong relationships with physicians, case managers, facilities, and community partners.
Create and maintain a master working list of hospice referral sources within the Baton Rouge area market.
Maintain a call cycle that creates consistent visits to all referral sources to create and/or strengthen positive relationships.
Educate referral sources during each visit (scheduled appointments, lunch-and-learns, after-hour events, etc.) regarding the benefits of hospice care.
Assess satisfaction with past and/or current referrals including the referral process, communication with Notre Dame staff, and the overall experience of patients and families.
Acknowledge receipt of and provide updates on new hospice patients to referral sources.
Address, follow up, and resolve any concerns or complaints from referral partners.
Develop compassionate and informative materials for marketing and public education related to hospice care. Assist the administrator with editing printed literature as needed.
Establish ongoing referral source and community programs thateducate, promote, and facilitate Notre Dame Hospices contribution to efficient, compassionate, and quality transitional care for patients and families.
Required Qualifications:
Minimum three (3) years experience in public relations, sales, or marketing.Hospice or healthcare marketing background strongly preferred.Related medical sales experience will be considered.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with adaptability.
Self-motivated, organized, compassionate, relationship-builder, and responsible.
High school diploma required.
Other Qualifications:
Has not been excluded from participating in Medicare and Medicaid programs.
Maintains a neat, well-groomed appearance at all times.
Ability and willingness to participate appropriately in a disaster or hurricane preparation situation.
