Position Summary — The Vault Supervisor is responsible for overseeing Vault Clerks, shift coverage, communicating to management with any issues. Obtaining and maintaining all Casino funds that are acquired and held on property.
Essential Functions — An individual in this role must be able to perform the following functions with or without reasonable accommodation.

Supervise department staff, overseeing timecard reviews, corrective actions, and departmental scheduling.

Monitor and evaluate employee performance to ensure optimal productivity.

Assist the department manager in the recruitment process, conducting interviews, and overseeing hiring and termination procedures for employees.

Training new employees on departmental processes, procedures, and safety protocols. Providing ongoing training to existing staff to enhance skills and performance.

Demonstrate effective oral and written communication skills while fostering positive relationships with both guests and staff.

Adhere strictly to reporting requirements, the employee handbook, departmental policies, and safety regulations established by Grand Lake Casino.

Responsible for overseeing that all SICS, or any other required P&P's are initiated and followed by all Vault Clerks.

Assists in presiding over Vault, monitoring, and evaluating employees.

Responsible for providing shift coverage and support for Vault Clerks where needed.

Responsible for all money and chips on hand in the vault issued to authorized staff.

Assists and works with vault clerks as a team member.

Develops, applies and maintains a friendly rapport with guests and staff.

Responsible for following Title 31 reporting requirements.

Performs money transactions as needed and efficiently handles large volumes of cash.
Qualifications

High School Diploma or G.E.D. and one to two (1-2) years in a related field with cash handling and customer service experience required.

Ability to multitask and work as part of the team and to promote a cooperative approach between departments.

Must have good written and verbal communication skills, multitasking skills, and the ability to adapt.

Ability to use Microsoft Office Suite; particularly: PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.

Ability to write reports and gather information, with strong attention to detail.
Other Requirements — Required to obtain and maintain a Seneca Cayuga tribal gaming license and a state issued I.D. All applicants must successfully pass a pre-employment drug screening prior to beginning employment. Must be at least 18 years of age.
Physical Requirements — Position requires the ability to stand for extended periods of time; stoop, bend, twist and lift up to 35 pounds regularly; have good dexterity and grip.
Work Environment — Grand Lake Casino is a drug and alcohol-free workplace; Must be able to work in a casino environment which includes high levels of smoke, dust, noise, and bright flashing lights.
Special Working Conditions — This position requires the flexibility to work any shift, including weekends and holidays. Must be able to work under pressure.
