Job Title: Packer
Reports To: Production Supervisor
Employment Status: Full-Time; Non-Exempt
Position Summary:
To pack parts in cartons according to specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Packs parts according to production schedule with designated part, paper, carton, etc.
- Inspects parts for proper description, damage, quantity, etc.
- Remove parts from pre-hang racks and pack parts according to required specifications.
- Adheres to all safety guidelines.
- Communicates any problems to the Team Leader and/or Production Supervisor.
- Maintains a clean work environment .
- Handles other essential tasks as assigned.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Ability to pack on a conveyor line.
- Ability to operate packing equipment such as strap machine , shrink wrap machine , staple guns, rivet guns, etc.
- Verbal and written communication skills .
- Reading and math skills.
- Frequent standing.
- Ability to lift or move typically 30-50 lbs.
- Other physical demands - stooping, kneeling, handling, etc .
- Ability to work overtime on short notice.
Preferred Qualifications:
- At least 1 year packing experience preferred.
Education:
High School Diploma or GED required .
