Reconditioning Inspection Utility Technician (Manufacturing)
Job Title: Reconditioning Inspection Utility Associate
Description: Serve as the lead inspection associate, production facilitator and trainer for the Reconditioning Inspection area. Daily functions will change based on production demand, staffing and training needs.
Inspection Associate: Verify conformance of bearing components (cups and cones) through visual and dimensional inspection using measurement instruments such as electronic bench gaging, dial indicators, and feeler gages . Accept or reject parts according to industry and customer specifications. Perform minor repairs including buffing , de-burring, and grinding using hand held rotary tools. Maintain equipment and work stations through daily housekeeping and preventative maintenance activities.
Production Facilitator: Ensure that production needs are met by filling inspection roles to cover vacancies and absenteeism. Ensure proper material supply to the line and support production at bottleneck operations. Troubleshoot production issues and resolve delays. Maintain production status boards.
Trainer: Train associates on all aspects of the inspection process. Engage in the continuing development of the team to increase the flexibility and stability of the group.
Overall Purpose: Inspect and repair bearing components (cups and cones), facilitate efficient production and train associates in a safe manner, complaint with all requirements, while achieving delivery and productivity performance expectations.

Qualifications/Training: Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in math and reading, good written and verbal communication skills, and strong problem solving skills. Candidates shall successfully complete training program and applicable qualification requirements. New hires shall demonstrate satisfactory performance during new hire probationary period. Ability to obtain and willingness to maintain certifications in all areas required. See chart below.
Protective Clothing and Personal Devices: Safety glasses, safety shoes when in production and laboratory areas.
