What you will do:

The National Accounts team is charged with developing the strategy and execution plan for distributing the firm's asset management capabilities through financial intermediaries. This team is responsible for growing PGIM's intermediary distribution relationships across the Wirehouse, Regional Broker Dealer, Independent Broker Dealer, RIA, Private Bank and National Consultant channels. The team seeks to secure shelf space for PGIM Investments products and secure visibility and support for PGIM's asset management capabilities.

What you can expect:

  • Proactively identify opportunities and position PGIM solutions for Edward Jones and additional firms
  • Develop business plans and execute on plans resulting in increased assets, revenue and market share
  • Retain existing placements; continually work to improve product placement and visibility, including identifying and facilitating mutual fund placement and selecting list opportunities in mutual fund and managed account wrap platforms
  • Prepare and deliver presentations to position PGIM investment solutions
  • Obtain frequent and continued access to investment professionals for firms
  • Proactive engagement around commentary, attribution, outlooks, positioning, thought leadership etc.
  • Engage clients with a timely and rapid response to any significant market events
  • Develop and maintain strategic relationships with executives and all centers of influence at client firms, including managing a robust travel rotation schedule
  • Increase the flow of due diligence questionnaires, RFP and other manager research-oriented activities
  • Share market intelligence
  • Attend selective national and regional partnership conferences, due diligence meetings and industry events
  • Potentially serve as support for other firms
    • Project Management and Event Planning
  • Administrative support including managing SalesForce, RFIs, tracking sales, Excel spreadsheets, creating decks with Microsoft PowerPoint

What you will bring:

  • An outstanding individual with 10+ years of successful investment sales or institutional marketing experience
  • This individual will have strong existing relationships with research teams, or have held an asset management sales role previously
  • Must have an in-depth knowledge of investment products across traditional investments and alternative investments; financial markets and competitive landscape; product performance and investment management philosophy, manager search and selection and knowledge of the intermediary wealth management marketplace
  • Strong sales abilities are required evidenced by a track record of increasing new shelf space at both existing and prospective clients
  • Successful candidate will be a self-starter who can effectively operate in a highly team-oriented and collaborative environment
  • Exceptional interpersonal, written and verbal skills, and the ability to communicate effectively across and at all levels within an organization
  • Must be highly motivated, technically proficient in financial industry, analytical, results-oriented and driven, possess significant advancement potential
  • Series 7 and 63 or 65 required

Note: Prudential is required by state specific laws to include the salary range for this role when hiring a resident in applicable locations. The base salary range for this role is from $115,000-125,000 + applicable sales commissions and/or bonuses. Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on many factors including geographic location, candidate experience, and skills. Roles may also be eligible for additional compensation and/or benefits. Eligibility to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program is subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
