Project Manager IT - SPT (Information Technology)



Job Summary

Job Description

Work directly with the Business and IT departments to ensure all aspects of each project are understood and consistent and that deliverables fall within scope, schedule, and budget.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for leading a team (Business Analysts, Business Process Owners, Project Leads, Technologists) through business/platform software implementation projects. 

  • Define and enforce project management standards and practices. 

  • Work with Application Managers to co-manage functional and technical resources assigned to projects but not directly reporting to Project Manager. 

  • Communicate process/system issues/impacts with senior management, steering committee, and business sponsors in non-technical terms.

  • Manage project plans at a high enough level to be able to identify issues and risks early on but also have the capacity to drill into detail and assist team members when necessary. 

  • Required to have functional knowledge of ERP/WMS platform implementation preferably SAP S4. 

  • Present to stakeholders reports on progress as well as solutions and approaches to problems and risks to the project deliverables, scope, schedule and budget.

  • Determine scope of projects, estimate costs of requests (effort, opportunity and monies), produce detailed project plans, manage/control project plans, maintain/communicate status and manage associated project incentive/measurement objectives.

  • Coach, mentor, motivate, prioritize, schedule, and control project team members for assigned projects.

  • Responsible for managing project budgets and the change management process for assigned projects.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects (small and large) concurrently.  Understand and manage dependencies between projects.

  • Monitor and report of progress in a timely manner (daily, weekly and monthly depending upon project).  

  • Responsible for overall quality of project output, including diagnosing and correcting root process or procedural problems contributing to any quality issues.

  • Provide design vision and detailed help where required by team members. 

  • Coach, mentor, motivate team members through all assigned deliverables and tasks. 

  • Champion standards and methodologies employed by department/team.  

  • Manage and control contractual relationships with service providers.

  • Coordinate contract activities, including contract development, negotiation and transition.

  • Monitor vendor contracts to ensure terms and conditions are met.

  • Define and manage vendor penalties and incentives, if performance does not meet or exceed established criteria.

  • Create, negotiate and incorporate contract amendments, renegotiating the contract, if required, to accommodate scope changes or changes in organization requirements.

  • Review contract budget variances and take corrective action as needed.

  • Coach, mentor, motivate and discipline Project Analysts/Leads.  Work with other managers to perform performance management and coaching activities when these resources are working on projects managed by others.

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Education :

  • Bachelor's Degree

Work Experience:

  • At least 5 years of experience in a Project Manager or Solution Delivery role leading Business/Technology solutions projects.

  • Experience managing Manufacturing & Supply Chain systems such as SAP S4,

  • Experience developing strategic initiatives which align with business goals and budget.

  • Conflict resolution.

  • Advanced level skills in Microsoft Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate, & Co-Pilot Studio.

  • Advanced level skill in  Jira.

  • Position requires travel up to 10% of the time for business purposes.

The anticipated salary range for this position:

$115,440.00 - $173,160.00 Annual

The actual salary will vary based on applicant's location, education, experience, skills, and abilities. This role is bonus and/or incentive eligible. Medline will not pay less than the applicable minimum wage or salary threshold.
