Director Sales Excellence (Finance)



As the Director of Sales Excellence in the Honeywell Energy & Sustainability Business (ESS), you will lead a team responsible for partnering with each region to achieve sales results while focusing on streamlining sales processes. The role includes partnering with sales leadership to set sales quotas while deploying sales strategies to ensure the global team meets its targets. You will also collaborate with sales to drive the order forecast process and MOS that's in place to help achieve the annual sales quota. Your team will support the Sales Incentive Plan (SIP) process and annual planning with the goal of rewarding sales activities and behaviors aligned to business goals while ensuring timely payment to sellers. Your team will provide metrics and reporting to track sales performance, optimize sales processes and improve customer experience to increase orders/revenue. Continuous improvement in sales forecasting, data quality in Salesforce, and the adoption of digital tools for enhanced sales productivity are key responsibilities.

You will report to the ESS Senior Director of Operations and Enablement.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams to align commercial strategies with business objectives, ensuring successful quota attainment, order growth, and seller process enhancements. You will gather input from sales and business teamsAs the Director of Sales Excellence, you will provide strategic guidance and direction for sales excellence initiatives, optimize sales processes, and drive continuous improvement to achieve sales goals.YOU MUST HAVE

  • 7+ years of experience in commercial operations, sales, or marketing roles.
  • Salesforce experience is critical.
  • PowerBI and Excel skills will be needed to effectively review and share data.

  • The regional sales excellence leaders will report to you; you will develop and coach the team to effectively support sales, sales leaders and business leadership.
  • Quota setting and sales deployment to position the global sales team to deliver the quota and achieve 100% attainment.
  • Lead the forecasting process to deliver the quota.
  • Support the SIP process by paying Sellers on time for delivering quota.
  • Provide metrics and reporting to support tracking of KPIs related to sales behaviors, sales goals and orders reporting.
  • Identify and implement innovative approaches to optimize sales processes, improve customer experience, and increase revenue and OI.
  • Continually drive improvement of the sales processes, in particular, sales forecasting and data quality in SFDC. Provide reporting and analysis for pipeline, forecast, orders, and revenue to support the goals and objectives of the business.
  • Support the adoption of digital tools and technologies to enhance sales productivity and enable data-driven decision-making.
  • Partner with the analytics team to develop and implement performance metrics and dashboards to track the progress and impact of commercial initiatives and seller performance.
  • Partner with the events team in the planning and support for internal sales events, including Presidents Club, sales kickoffs and sales manager workshops/trainings.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices in sales transformation to drive continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Drive a culture of customer-centricity and excellence in sales and customer service across the organization.
  • Utilize data from various functional systems to produce insights that can help facilitate business decisions (ERP, Pricing, Sales Incentive databases, CRM Analytics / Tableau, Installed base, Customer Data Management, etc.).
  • Develop and deliver executive-level presentations to illustrate key data insights at various levels of the organization.
