Ops Education Consultant (Finance)



JOB SUMMARY

The Ops Education Consultant (OGCI) will work closely with both Learning & Development, as well as Operations stakeholders and leaders to support the design and implementation of solutions-based learning programs and controls that result in higher quality, more efficient, lower cost delivery of operational skills-based learning. Collaboration, in depth understanding of competency frameworks and instructional design methodologies are vital components to being successful in this role. The Ops Education Consultant (OGCI) role requires advanced project and documentation management skills, thorough requirements gathering, and proven success in designing quality, scalable skills-based learning solutions that assimilate into existing Operations business models.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collaborates with stakeholders to understand existing challenges to identify and create scalable Ops learning solutions that reduce time to proficiency
  • Supports the analysis, design, and delivery of learning experiences for Operations as directed by the Senior Ops Education Consultant (or other related Lead Program Manager)
  • Effectively communicates to stakeholders and impacted business groups as necessary to support effective change management relative to aligned project portfolio
  • Leverages advanced knowledge of client team operations, technology and structure to translate client team requirements into actionable process improvement projects
  • Champions and influences a continuous learning mindset throughout Operations
  • Responsible for project management for aligned projects; ensures resources complete assigned tasks in a timely and quality manner
  • Demonstrates knowledge of current and new systems functionality and planned base platform releases, and takes advantage of those updates to identify and implement associated learning opportunities for Operations
  • Create and manage documentation supporting skills-based learning pathways and associated course content in line with enterprise operations business objectives
  • Performs other duties, as assigned

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Able to effectively manage one or more projects, including related tasks and associated project resources
  • Collaborates well with team members by being open to questions, providing effective coaching, and maintaining a positive team environment
  • Proven ability to influence others, individually and in group settings, in order to obtain client commitment and grow business opportunities

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Execute in all phases of the instructional design process (i.e. ADDIE)
  • Apply experiential and accelerated learning principles to create effective instructor-led, eLearning, and blended learning experiences
  • Align learning objectives, content, and assessments with specific learner goals as well as overarching business goals
  • Design user-centered learning experiences supported by adult learning theory
  • Develop visually appealing, interactive training materials using eLearning authoring tools and other content creation tools such as (but not limited to) Camtasia, Canva, etc. as well as supporting LMS and Knowledge Base systems such as (but not limited to) Confluence, Bridge and Degreed
  • Support program assessment and evaluation strategies to measure efficacy
  • Maintain and update educational content as technology, best practices, and needs change
  • Continuous improvement and teamwork mindset
  • Superior Microsoft suite skills
  • Advanced SQL and JQL knowledge preferred
  • Python knowledge a plus
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Experienced time management skills, including the ability to run one or more projects simultaneously
  • Exceptional organizational skills
  • Ability to be flexible and work under pressure to meet strict deadlines in a team environment
  • Must be a self-starter
  • Strong interpersonal, entrepreneurial and collaborative skills
  • Ability to carry out assigned projects to their completion; ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, customers, prospective customers and vendors; ability to maintain confidential and sensitive information; ability to understand and follow instructions

KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE AND/OR EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Knowledge of the Health & Welfare industry, benefit outsourcing systems, business processes and capabilities and services, operations, and delivery
  • Understanding of project management tools and techniques, following best practice to initiate, take responsibility for, and achieve defined project outcomes
  • Bachelor's degree preferred but not required
    • In lieu of Bachelor's degree, 3 - 5 years of experience in education, learning and development, benefit administration or a related field
  • Learning agility supports the ability to effectively work on a wide array of projects impacting multiple Operations business units
  • Experience managing multifaceted projects.
  • Previous benefits administration and strong project management experience preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication and analytical skills required.
