Account Executive, Political (Digital & OTT) (R&D)
Ready to make an impact on the political landscape? Scripps is seeking a dynamic Political Account Executive to sell our digital and OTT advertising solutions to political candidates and advocacy accounts during upcoming elections. Based in Washington DC, you'll connect campaigns with targeted voters across our powerful media platforms nationwide. Scripps offers a hybrid work option for this position.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
- Sell Scripps digital products to direct accounts and advertising agencies specializing in political and advocacy advertising
- Develop new business by prospecting accounts originating in the Washington DC sales territory and placing on Scripps properties around the country
- Negotiate with new and existing accounts to maximize share of revenue
- Prepare and present marketing proposals utilizing qualitative and quantitative research
- Perform client services, including avail presentations, account management reconciliation, credit and collections, and package preparations
WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
- BS/BA in related discipline preferred or equivalent years of experience
- Generally 3+ years of experience in related field preferred
WHAT YOU'LL BRING:
- Demonstrated excellent communication and organizational skills in a fast-paced sales environment
- Ability to quickly develop trusted relationships with clients and deliver world-class customer service
- Experience working with Microsoft Office suite including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Access
- Experience working with leading premium media ad management platforms is a plus
