A Brief Overview

The Pre-Weigh Lead ensures that all materials required for compounding are accurately measured, labeled, and prepared to meet production schedules. This role involves coordinating pre-weigh activities, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory standards, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment.

What you will do

  • Manage daily pre-weigh schedules and ensure timely preparation of materials. Provide guidance to team members to maintain operational efficiency.
  • Use gram and floor scales to measure chemicals and dyes accurately. Tag and label containers following documented procedures. Handle raw materials manually or with equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts.
  • Record all activities in compliance with SOPs and cGMP standards. Conduct general maintenance and calibration checks on equipment.
  • Monitor and report unsafe conditions in the work area. Perform cleaning tasks for pre-weigh and warehouse areas regularly.
  • Adjust work hours as necessary to meet business needs. Assist with additional tasks assigned by the supervisor.
  • Recognize chemical names and identify abnormal characteristics in ingredients.
  • Follow environmental policies and handle waste materials appropriately.
  • Ensure proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for each task.
  • Some duties may vary by location.


Education Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED (Required)


Experience Qualifications

  • 1-3 years in a manufacturing or production environment (Preferred)


Skills and Abilities

  • Ensures adherence to compliance standards and maintains accurate documentation. (High proficiency)
  • Accurately measures and labels materials to meet production specifications. (High proficiency)
  • Frequently lifts up to 50 lbs and maneuvers heavy containers safely. (High proficiency)
  • Identifies and mitigates safety hazards while maintaining a clean work area. (High proficiency)
  • Performs addition and subtraction for precise measurements. (Medium proficiency)
  • Operates scales, pallet jacks, and forklifts safely and effectively. (Medium proficiency)
  • Coordinates with team members and supervisors effectively. (Medium proficiency)


Licenses and Certifications

  • Forklift Certification or ability to obtain a certification (Preferred)
