Gas Purification Systems Engineer (Finance)

Job Overview: The Purification Systems Engineer will lead the specification and selection of purification equipment for electronics/high purity customer supply systems and assist in commissioning those systems. The position will also be responsible for assisting operations personnel in troubleshooting and repairing gas purification systems at US electronics facilities. Primary Responsibilities: - Understand and adhere to company safety work policies and operating practices. Report safety incidents and near misses. - Act as customer contact along side facility managers for purification system issues and work. - Act as customer contact for technical discussions regarding new or upgraded purification systems. - Assist the project manager with engineering specification, cost, installation, and commissioning assistance on electronics bulk supply system projects - specifically purification and filtration. - Assist in commissioning and startup of facility bulk gas purification systems including gas purifiers and filtration systems. - Assist in managing contracts for purifier services and support. - Act as primary contact with OEMs for purifier support and parts. - Troubleshoot problems and assist facilities in performing corrective and preventative maintenance on purification system components at ultra-high purity installations. - Work with reliability team to establish and maintain operating and maintenance procedures and preventative maintenance schedules for electronics specific purification systems. - Identify and assist in managing spare and replacement system components, including obsolescence planning. - Read, interpret, and maintain (as needed) P&IDs and schematic wiring diagrams in compliance with Standard Operating Procedures, QA, and MOC (Management of Change) policies. T his position requires a combination of office work and fieldwork. Some after-hours work will be required. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are needed to develop working relationships with the plants' maintenance team. Both ad hoc and preplanned travel to plants will be required for this role. Qualifications: - Bachelor's Degree in an engineering discipline (may consider candidates that have significant experience in semi-conductor gas purification systems). - Industrial Gas experience is preferred. - Experience with ultra-high purity gas purification systems is preferred. - Basic electrical and instrumental aptitude is desired. - Excellent organizational skills are required. - Ability to write and interpret technical procedures and instructions. - Ability to work on multiple projects during a given period. - Ability to travel up to 25% within the U.S (United States). and provide after business hours support as needed. Additional Skill Requirements: Candidate must be a highly organized self-starter capable of working independently. Must have excellent communication skills (both orally and written), with an ability to deal with multiple levels of the internal organization, suppliers, and customers. This is a central support role; the candidate must be able to work across organizational lines to accomplish their goals. Travel up to 25% normally, although could be higher during project execution or production issues. Carrying a cell phone and availability to plant personnel for off hours assistance is required.
