End User Computing Technician III (Information Technology)



Join The E.W. Scripps Company as a End User Computing Technician and become an essential part of our technology support team. In this role, you'll be the go-to expert for resolving hardware and software issues, ensuring our employees have the technical resources they need to succeed. You'll provide hands-on support across a variety of platforms and devices, helping to maintain the technological backbone of our organization while delivering exceptional customer service to team members across the company.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Provide technical support by responding to service desk tickets, troubleshooting issues, and assisting end-users
  • Install, configure, and maintain hardware and software on desktops, laptops, printers, mobile devices, and other peripherals
  • Maintain and update systems to ensure software and operating systems are current and secure
  • Identify hardware problems and make necessary repairs, such as replacing hard drives, motherboards, and memory
  • Provide training and support to employees on effective hardware and software use
  • Keep detailed records of support activities via the Scripps incident management system
  • Maintain an inventory of all hardware and software assets
  • Work with other IT teams to resolve complex issues and implement new technologies
  • Provide guidance to other End User Computing technicians on complex issues and projects
     

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

  • Associate degree preferred; or equivalent experience
  • Generally, 3-5 years of end user support experience
  • Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician (MCDST), and/or similar certifications desired
     

WHAT YOU'LL BRING:

  • Strong technical skills including knowledge of hardware, software, and operating systems (Windows, macOS, and Linux)
  • Working knowledge of Azure/Entra, Intune, Jamf, and similar Enterprise tools
  • Proficiency with Dell/HP and Mac laptops
  • Experience with network protocols, troubleshooting techniques, and diagnostic tools
  •  Excellent communication skills
  • Outstanding customer service abilities
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Skills in documenting technical support activities and maintaining accurate records

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Ability to be on call and support a 24-hour/day and 7-day/week operations environment as needed
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Requires the ability to sit for long periods of time, listen and converse over the telephone and frequently type on a computer (4 or more hours per day)

COMPENSATION RANGE:

Annual Salary: $75,000.00 - $80,000


 

Pursuant to state and local salary transparency laws, the salary range posted is specific to candidates who will perform this work in New York.
