Job Description:

The HPE Storage Senior Director of Program Management role is responsible and accountable for leading the Storage Program Management Office in the planning, tracking, and driving of various programs from Pre-Concept through to Launch. This leadership role will work directly with executives and team members across various functions of the value chain. This includes overseeing engagement and management of all aspects of programs including communication, status reporting, schedule definition and management of issues and risks.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Leading program management responsible for highly complex new product introduction programs utilizing standard Program Management tools while implementing best practices across each phase of the program.
  • Driving multiple in-flight programs with a sense of urgency, removing barriers and maintaining a clear and well-defined path to completion.
  • Overseeing all programs with rigor and operational excellence, highlighting interdependencies and creating connection points across functions to create high-quality programs that deliver high-quality products.
  • Partnering with Product Management to understand the market, customer requirements, product area/roadmap, roadmap dependencies & targeted technical needs.
  • Communicating program changes and updates proactively and effectively - verbally and in writing, while working to create simple messaging for complex topics. Providing clear, timely and objective communication.
  • Leading cross-functional teams, working with peers to establish and strengthen relationships that foster communication and collaboration.
  • Documenting program results and where applicable drive lessons learned.
  • Leading through ambiguity and change and being an advocate for process improvement initiatives and ideas.
  • Exhibiting strong leadership skills, including coaching, team- building, and conflict resolution.

Education and Experience Required:

  • Experience managing a variety of business or product development programs is required
  • Expert knowledge of storage products, industry, and market trends
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in Business Management, Engineering, Computer Sciences, or equivalent.
  • 10+ years of progressive senior management experience within the storage industry
  • 5+ years of experience in product or program management leadership roles within the storage industry

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Excellent management skills, including project structuring and managing multiple work streams interdependently.
  • Strong analytical thinking, analysis, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to effectively communicate plans, proposals, and results, while also negotiating options at business unit levels.
  • Business acumen and strategic agility with demonstrated technical cognizance.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including negotiation, presentation, and influence.
  • Proficiency in and use of program and product management tools such as Smartsheet, Aha! and other programs.
  • Strong relationship management skills, including partnering, consulting, and influencing.
  • Willingness to challenge the status quo.

Actual offer may vary from this range based upon geographic location, work experience, education/training, and/or skill level. If this is a sales role, then the listed salary range reflects combined base salary and target-level sales compensation pay. If this is a non-sales role, then the listed salary range reflects base salary only. Variable incentives may also be offered. USD Annual Salary: $155,500.00 - $376,000.00
