F5, Inc. seeks Sr Engineer in Seattle, WA:
Job Duties: Continue contributing to F5 Distributed Cloud (F5XC) and its upcoming new projects. Build and maintain high-availability, reliability & high-performance microservices, which enforces L7 policy enforcement, authorization, and rate-limiting. Contribute to features that are deployed into 100+ Customer Edge Sites across AWS, GCP & Azure to allow the customers to build globally distributed, cross-cloud application architectures, which leverage software defined networking through simple set of REST APIs. Apply hands on knowledge of global intricate computer network architecture to create Customer Edge Sites, creating load balancers, deploying to the Customer Edges or Regional edges, and on top, deliver new software features and capabilities. Utilize CICD pipelines to deploy and validate code changes which gets deployed across globally on Regional Edges and Customer Edges. Conduct technical interviews for full-time engineers for the control-plane team. Assist in resolving customer issue by investigating, troubleshooting, and creating patch fixes. Responsible for upgrading dependencies, libraries, security patches, and features for each release. Assist, onboard, and mentor new engineers and engineering interns to quickly start contributing to team goals. Telecommuting is an option. Some travel to F5 offices may be required.
Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering (any field) or closely related quantitative discipline and two (2) years of experience in job offered or in any occupation in a related field.
Special Skill Requirements: (1) Golang; (2) gRPC; (3) protobuf; (4) Kubernetes; (5) Docker; (6) Prometheus and PromQL; (7) Open Policy Agent and rego; (8) gubernator; (9) linux. Any suitable combination of education, training and experience is acceptable. Telecommuting is an option. Some travel to F5 offices may be required.
