Global Client Leader, Health (Finance)

Accelerate our delivery of fully integrated communications marketing solutions for a large Global Health Client, build C-level client relationships and lead in the creation of powerful programs that bring together the best of Edelman's integrated solutions. Success is defined by retention and growth of the client, activation of a fully integrated team, and successful implementations. Provides leadership and training of team across Global Client, and models outstanding collaboration and innovation of our offerings.

Responsibilities

    • SKILLS (Client & Stakeholder Engagement, Business & Project Management, Business Development and Talent Development/Leadership)
    • Strategic understanding and advancement of clients' business:

    • Guides clients and teams to achieve business objectives with strategic and creative ideas that yield measurable business results
    • Provides strategy, vision and continuous improvement to advance relationships c-suite leaders
    • Uses practice/Health sector insight, experience and skills to ask the right questions of clients and teams to see business challenges and solutions.
    • Synthesizes thinking and programs across a variety of platforms, channels and audiences
    • Ensures clients are benefitting from external and internal Edelman IP insights, best practices and methodologies
    • Leverages deep marketing & communications experience to unlock opportunities for Healthcare clients - across Communications, Social, Digital, Influencer and Creative advertising
    • Strategic leadership on integrated teams:

    • Help teams to plan and program across the client account globally to ensure efficiency and synergies
    • Holds self accountable consistently for performance, compliance and ethical business conduct in accordance with firm values
    • Routinely accesses diverse talent and subject matter expertise within Edelman and facilitates direct client interaction with those experts
    • Identifies and mentors team members, specifically in strategy and insights.
    • Creates climate that encourages excellence, courage and integrity
    • Conceives, implements and supports initiatives to create positive changes and helps others adapt to change across offices and regions
    • Measures, monitors and advances client-agency relationships and the firm overall:

    • Partners on client relationship-mapping and development across client account
    • Participates in creating growth plans for bringing in new capabilities against client needs
    • Seeks out new clients and actively participates in full new business process
    • Participates in the development and adoption of new products, services, development of IP and thought leadership materials

Basic Qualifications

    • At least 12 years of relevant experience in field related to Communications Marketing, advertising agency or client-side brand marketing experience preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

    • Demonstrated experience managing $5million+ accounts
    • Dynamic, C-Suite level counselor with strong global category knowledge.
    • Exceptional leadership/management skills and superb oral and written communication, with seasoned presentation skills
    • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and persuade staff, peers, and clients
    • Proven ability to lead across teams
    • Solutions-oriented leader with a proven track record of finding operational efficiencies to reduce over-service and enhance staff plans; experience with 'ad fund' budgets and franchise stakeholders a plus
    • Experience optimizing Inter-Agency Teams (IAT) partnership to improve strategic collaboration and collective campaign measurement (including comms work attribution)

$185,000 - $290,000 a year
