Maintenance | Mechanic 1 (Administrative)
WHO YOU ARE
The Maintenance Mechanic, Level 1 maintains production and quality by ensuring operation of machinery and mechanical equipment.
SCHEDULE
First Shift | Monday - Friday - 6:00 am -2:30 pm (Overtime when needed)
WHERE YOU WILL WORK
Onsite at our ClosetMaid manufacturing and Distribution facility in Ocala, Florida.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Major Responsibilities
- Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment
- Completes preventive maintenance requirements as assigned
- References drawings, manufacturers' manuals and instructions
- Troubleshoots malfunctions
- Locates sources of problems by observing operation of machine or device
- Assists higher level mechanics/electricians in removal of defective parts including dismantling of the machine or device
- Adjusts operational parameters (mechanical or digital) of equipment to ensure quality product is produced, based on manufacturing judgement.
- Conserves maintenance resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results
- Communicates with manufacturing and maintenance supervision regarding possible machine issues or malfunctions
- Changes tooling on manufacturing equipment to produce the next scheduled product as notified by manufacturing
- Maintains a safe, clean work environment and complies with all company policies and procedures
- Completes and submits work order documents for preventive maintenance and manufacturing requests as needed
Required Competencies, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- High School Diploma/GED, Or equivalent amount of education and experience
- 1+ years work experience
- Self-starter requiring minimal supervision
- Logical decision making for maintenance of equipment
- Effective communication skills, verbal and written
Preferred Skills
- Logout Tagout Certification
- Forklift, Scissor Life and Bucket Life Certifications
- Valid Drivers License
