Espresso Clerk (Food Services)

Are you a coffee lover? We are at Uncle Giuseppe's! We have an exciting opportunity for a PT Espresso Clerk at our Morris Plains, NJ Store. Bring your cheerful, customer service and teamwork attitude to our coffee bar. Excellent communication skills and cash register experience are required!

Our Barista-Espresso Clerks are responsible for making and serving beverages to customers at our Espresso and Coffee bars.

Responsibilities

Greeting customers in a friendly manner and taking food and drink orders
Preparing and serving beverages, ranging from simple to elaborate ones
Answering customers' questions about menu choices
Promoting and recommending menu options to customers
Taking payment from customers
Maintaining inventory and equipment by cleaning, troubleshooting and scheduling repairs
Keeping the work environment sanitary and organized
Evaluating and modifying processes to improve efficiency and quality of service
Working to attract new customers and expanding the menu
Other duties and functions as assigned

Requirements

HS Diploma or equivalent
18 years or older
Listen well and communicate in a professional and friendly manner
Focus on customer satisfaction by providing excellent customer service
Practice basic safety procedures with respect to equipment and handling hot beverages
Must be efficient and organized
Build good relationships with customers
Maintain a clean work environment
Keep supplies replenished to minimize downtime
Must be able to speak, read and understand the English language
