Essential Job Duties
Advise potential and pre health program studentsLead initiatives to promote campus engagement for prospective and current studentsDevelop and maintain relationships with academic institutions and community organizations for recruitment, community engagement, and career servicesRepresent the university at community engagement and recruiting eventsDevelop, maintain, and lead information sessions for prospective and current studentsDevelop and lead new student orientation activitiesWork collaboratively with admissions staff in recruiting and admission effortsWork collaboratively with program leadership to ensure information regarding program requirements and processes are current and accurateServe as a mentor to faculty for student advisement and coordinate communication of advising updatesMaintain current and accurate advising records and assist in collection and maintenance of student filesParticipate in the collection of required documentation for regulatory and accrediting guidelinesMaintain expertise in advising best practice through professional development opportunitiesComply with University guidelines regarding faculty duties and requirements Participate in academic processions and wear academic regalia as required Attend and participate in college meetings Plan, assist, and/or attend college and department led events such as award ceremonies, focus groups, community sponsored events, community service events, etc. Regular attendance and punctuality Set an example of a Christian lifestyle for students, staff and faculty Commitment and adherence to Southwest Baptist Universitys Principles and Expectations

Position Requirements
Required
Bachelors Degree in nursing or health related degree
Preferred
Masters Degree in NursingExperience working with students in an academic setting
Work Environment
Must be able to work in a typical office environment.
Physical Abilities
Frequently interacts with students and colleagues in an office or group setting and is able to communicate accurate information and ideas in these situations.Occasionally moves about the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
