Works with the Principal Investigator and study team on several state-funded projects focused on the early childhood period. This position will report to the PI for the Preschool Development Grant Evaluation. This evaluation includes stakeholders from different state and local agencies throughout the state. The candidate will work with the PI to plan, conduct, and direct a wide variety of studies focused on maternal and child health improvement. Assists with the day-to-day activities for research project(s) and may impact the success of the research project(s).
Position Key Accountabilities:
1. Collects, evaluates, interprets, and documents research data to accomplish the objectives of a wide variety of research projects.
2. Develops dashboards and ongoing data monitoring systems to support research projects and long-term evaluation projects.
3. Influences project direction and outcomes by identifying opportunities to enhance, terminate, or re-direct research activities.
4. Oversees the recruitment of study participants for surveys and field interviews, and the development of standard operating procedures for tracking the progress of participants.
5. Conducts qualitative analysis under the supervision of the PI and with other members of the team.
6. Evaluates and interprets data and provides results to investigators to support publication.
7. Maintains quality control checks on data collection activities in compliance with all governmental and University policies, rules, regulations, and codes.
8. Assists in the preparation and writing of research reports, manuscripts, papers and grant proposals for presentation and publication.
9. Provides direction and training to other study staff to ensure efficient, timely, and high-quality results in compliance with all protocols, guidelines, regulations, etc.
10. Develops and monitors IRB applications and reporting.
11. Performs other duties as assigned.
Certification/Skills:
Exerts up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 10 pounds frequently and/or a negligible amount constantly to move objects. This position may include work involving potentially hazardous chemical, biological or radioactive agents.
