Director Software Engineering Solutions (Finance)



Job Description:

Summary:

The Director of Software Engineering Solutions is responsible for strategy development, thought leadership, implementation, and support of their assigned technology projects and assets. This includes developing and implementing strategic roadmaps in alignment with division and corporate business strategy to drive value to the business operation. This role champions and acts as the steward for software engineering standards, currency, and continuous improvement. The Director provides technical leadership and coordination to ensure successful delivery of enterprise level strategic initiatives. This includes providing effective communication and influence to promote and deliver an agile data-driven organization.

Essential Accountabilities:

• Provides leadership, coaching and delivery accountability for the assigned technology projects and assets. Actively oversee the implementation and application of modern, agile delivery methods, measuring team performance to meet or improve overall effectiveness.

• Ensures product family teams are executing to agile delivery standards with a key focus on, capacity planning and milestone planning to support visible roadmaps, prioritization, planning and execution of corporate strategic initiatives and moving the organization to a standard rolling roadmap, with near-term deliverables and longer-term directions, ensuring strategic deliverables are effectively communicated.

• Models and drives continuous learning and maintains a highly skilled and engaged workforce by aligning cross-functional resource plans with business objectives, building organizational capacity and developing high-potential employees for growth opportunities and advancement, providing guidance and leadership when difficult decisions need to be made and ensuring performance management guidelines and expectations align with and drive business objectives and results.

• Maintains a technology forward focus to ensure divisional objectives are aligned to best meet the organization's business requirements by creating plans for new technologies, recommending updates to existing systems and participating as part of a team to evaluate new technology to determine its effectiveness for the organization's needs.

• Provides leadership and support for application releases, uptime, and overall systems health.

• Participates in strategic planning, ensuring that departmental objectives are aligned with overall division strategy.

• Recognizes and champion cybersecurity standards and leverage agile delivery strategies to ensure applications and infrastructure are up-to-date and eliminating security risks and vulnerabilities.

• Consistently demonstrates high standards of integrity by supporting the Lifetime Healthcare Companies' mission and values, adhering to the Corporate Code of Conduct, and leading to the Lifetime Way values and beliefs.

• Maintains high regard for member privacy in accordance with the corporate privacy policies and procedures.

• Maintains knowledge of all relevant legislative and regulatory mandates and ensures that all activities are compliant with these requirements.

• Conducts periodic staff meetings to include timely distribution and education related to departmental and Ethics/Compliance information.

• Regular and reliable attendance is expected and required.

• Performs other functions as assigned by management.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Ten (10) years of related work experience, three (3) of which are in a defined or largescale project leadership role.

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology or related field. In lieu of a degree, six (6) additional years of experience required.

• Possess strong knowledge of Agile methodologies and frameworks.

• Demonstrated ability to operate as a positive change agent, working with cross-functional business stakeholders to streamline processes to improve our flow of products throughout the organization, with an emphasis on delivering value for customers faster

• Experience leading large-scale integration projects, defining & driving software quality principles and best practices.

• Proven ability to influence at all levels of the organization and across multiple disciplines- possessing high emotional intelligence, understanding what is important to each audience, and anticipating challenges

• An outstanding record of accomplishment in a leadership position with demonstrated ability to plan, strategize, problem-solve, motivate, organize, and direct.

• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, throughout all levels in the organization, across a range of disciplines and technical abilities.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to work prolonged periods sitting and/or standing at a workstation and working on a computer.

• Ability to work while sitting and/or standing at a workstation viewing a computer and using a keyboard, mouse and/or phone for three (3) or more hours at a time.

• Ability to travel across the Health Plan service region for meetings and/or trainings as needed.

• Ability to work in a home office for continuous periods of time for business continuity.

Compensation Range(s):

Grade D5: Minimum: $137,857 - Maximum: $248,143

The salary range indicated in this posting represents the minimum and maximum of the salary range for this position. Actual salary will vary depending on factors including, but not limited to, budget available, prior experience, knowledge, skill and education as they relate to the position's minimum qualifications, in addition to internal equity. The posted salary range reflects just one component of our total rewards package. Other components of the total rewards package may include participation in group health and/or dental insurance, retirement plan, wellness program, paid time away from work, and paid holidays.
