OPERATIONS/FRONT END MANAGER (Finance)



Ensure the stores implementation and execution of Front-end Customer Service, best practices and operational initiatives. Partner with District Front-end Specialists, Shrink and Loss Prevention Departments in identifying store opportunities by analyzing reports to improve SEPR, metric results and other financial goals. Coordinate division rollout and training for Front-end solutions. Work collaboratively and communicate with Corporate, Regional and Division Departments by providing feedback on the effectiveness of the Enterprise operational plans/programs, developing action plans to address opportunities.   • Experience as Assistant Store Manager (1-4 years)
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Computer skills - Microsoft Suite
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to travel independently.
  • Ability to achieve objectives through others

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • District Front-end Coordinator experience
  • Serve as the division subject matter expert for Front-end applications and solutions.
  • Coach, train and develop District Front-end Coordinators during weekly store visits, focusing on total store Customer Service, best practices, identifying opportunities and defining processes for improvement. Ensure stores compliance with Federal, State and local laws, and with policy and adherence to standards for the Front-end departments.
  • Assist Store Management teams in the effective utilization of ELMS and labor budgeting techniques to maximize productivity and customer service in the most cost-effective manner.
  • Monitor all of Front-end reporting, cash shortages, returned WIC checks, booth audits, and booth training.
  • Responsible for implementation, updates, and effective use of front-end technology systems
  • Analyze records and reports of store department operations and product movement; spot trouble areas and take immediate appropriate action.
  • Partner with store teams to implement special programs and support key merchandising endeavors.
  • Actively work with District Front end Coordinators and stores in the achievement of the FE Shrink glide path; actively apply tools to manage this area.
  • Assist District Front-end Coordinators with Sales & Cash reconciliation.
  • Supervise mandatory annual Scan audit G.O and follow up on under-performing stores in Scan integrity.
  • Provide upward feedback to Customer Experience and Practices on the effectiveness of training programs and recommend improvement as needed to accomplish more effective training of store associates.
  • Identify training talent and stores within the division as well as evaluating Front-end department team strengths and opportunities.
  • Provide feedback to Retail Operations Manager, District Managers, and Store Managers on the strengths and developmental opportunities of associates in the Front-end Departments and ensure training and transition as required of new Department managers.
  • Partner with Division Human Resources Training and Development Department to ensure the effective use of approved training programs and assist in the training of store associates as needed.
  • Manage new/remodel store scanning activities (scheduling Scan audits, etc.)
  • Assist as needed in the installation, training and follow-up on the use of new equipment and/or work methods.
  • Assist in the training and education of Scan coordinators, including any mandatory training or certification of bargaining agreements.
