Credit Control, Exposure & Limit Management - AVP (Finance)



This team is responsible for exposure and portfolio management of the derivatives and traded products portfolio, which includes analysis of exposures, monitoring of limits and exposures, and risk reporting.

As the business has a significant growth strategy and expands into new traded products, this is an exciting time for the group to play a critical role in

1. Daily Exposure Reporting on Tier 3 Limits under MUSO Entities; Alarm and Breach Escalation and Reporting.

2. Driving and executing new initiatives to optimize current workflow and automate reporting.

3. Meeting regulatory requirements, and

4. Working to improve risk governance.

Description

As an integral part of Americas Risk Management,

  • Generate daily exposure reports on Derivatives Business (OTC Derivatives and FX) and Securities Business (Cash Bond, Cash Equity, Security Lending, Repo and Futures) in order to monitor limit usage and distribute daily report to Front Office and Credit Department.
  • Input and maintain Credit data for derivatives counterparties in proprietary systems (counterparty limit amount, rating, on-boarding information, etc).
  • Provide analysis of high limit usage and excess.
  • Responsible for monitoring and reporting of intraday and end of day limits, excesses and collateral disputes.
  • Responsible for exposure and portfolio management of counterparties and effective management of risk in derivative transactions.
  • On an ongoing basis, analyze counterparty credit exposure on various metrics such as Expected Positive Exposure, Potential Future Exposure, etc.
  • Play a key role in executing ongoing improvements in data quality and reporting infrastructure. Create new detective controls to enhance data quality.
  • Assist Credit Risk Management team for client on-boarding, updating counterparty risk data in the system and review data quality issues.
  • Work closely with IT to streamline current workflow under Credit Risk Management (prepare BRD, conduct meetings with users and IT, UAT testing, etc) and enhance current reporting.
  • Support new initiatives and projects to enhance portfolio management and exposure management.
  • Work on desk level automation and make updates on current workflow when new product and new business model is introduced.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance/Mathematics/Engineering.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative background.
  • Experience in Python, VBA, SQL.
  • Knowledge of derivative products/counterparty credit risk.
  • Excellent written and verbal presentation skills
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Strong office administrative skills.
  • Ability to work closely with partners, provide direction and follow-up to get the job done.

The expected base salary ranges from $90,000 - $140,000. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, certifications and licenses obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. In addition to salary and a generous employee benefits package, including Medical, Dental and 401K plans, successful candidates are also eligible to receive a discretionary bonus.
