Shipping Supervisor
Shipping supervisor oversees processes and procedures in receiving and shipping department. Records time, date, quantity, source, and destination of materials received or shipped.
Responsibilities:
- Follow all general safety regulations and use provided safety equipment as required.
- Understand ISO 9001 requirements/Quality Policy.
- Always follow work instructions and procedures as established through the Quality Policy.
- Participate in monthly inventory process.
- Complete all necessary functions in CMS for receiving of material.
- Daily reporting of POD reconciliation for Finance.
- Keep area neat, organized, and clean by following established 5S procedures.
- Backup to logistics specialist.
- Cross train in other positions as required.
Qualifications:
- Combination of one to three years of related experience in a manufacturing environment and formal education.
- Ability to read and interpret documents and training materials such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
- Strong interpersonal and oral communication skills.
- Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing is a plus.
