Shipping Supervisor

Shipping supervisor oversees processes and procedures in receiving and shipping department. Records time, date, quantity, source, and destination of materials received or shipped.

Responsibilities:

  • Follow all general safety regulations and use provided safety equipment as required.
  • Understand ISO 9001 requirements/Quality Policy.
  • Always follow work instructions and procedures as established through the Quality Policy.
  • Participate in monthly inventory process.
  • Complete all necessary functions in CMS for receiving of material.
  • Daily reporting of POD reconciliation for Finance.
  • Keep area neat, organized, and clean by following established 5S procedures.
  • Backup to logistics specialist.
  • Cross train in other positions as required.

Qualifications:
  • Combination of one to three years of related experience in a manufacturing environment and formal education.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents and training materials such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
  • Strong interpersonal and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing is a plus.
