Role

The Accounting Business Separation Lead acts as an accounting subject matter expert and the accounting lead for the fiber segment's separation from Crown Castle. This role is responsible for managing and leading major process changes related to the planned divestiture and associated work streams. 

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and provide leadership for accounting work streams related to the divestiture of Crown Castle's fiber segment.
  • Compile and review detailed financial analyses to support carve out financials and associated audits.
  • Review and present financial statement variance analysis to senior management.
  • Coordinate and prepare for both internal and external financial audits and act as a liaison to the auditors including managing timetables and deadlines.
  • Working within ancillary systems that impact accounting results, such as RecVue, Razorflow, and NCRM.
  • Act as an accounting liaison in partnership with IT and other resources with regards to accounting-related system changes in connection with the separation.
  • Analyze, interpret and disentangle financial statement components, such as revenue, lease accounting, customer and vendor agreements, in-flight capital projects, etc. to support the separation execution.

Education/Certifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
  • Certified Public Accountant and/or MBA preferred

Experience/Minimum Requirements

  • Eight (8)+ years of supervisory or management experience in accounting.
  • Must have significant experience operating in both JD Edwards and Oracle Fusion ERP's, including experience as administrator or super-user.
  • Accounting experience within fiber industry, including specialized areas such as revenue, lease accounting, consolidation and reporting, and general ledger accounting.
  • Merger and acquisition expertise within fiber space, including purchase accounting, system integrations and separations.

Organizational Relationship

Reports to:  Assistant Controller

Working Conditions: This role falls into our hybrid work model working in the office Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.  On Mondays and Fridays, teammates on the hybrid schedule will have the option to work from the office or home.  There is an expectation of collaboration with teammates and stakeholders for moments that matter that could require travel. 

Compensation
The salary range offered for this position is $103200 - $141900 annually. A candidate's offer is determined by various factors including but not limited to, depth of experience, role-related knowledge and skills, relevant education or training, internal alignment, and work location. Depending on the position offered, the compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of a discretionary annual cash bonus or commissions, and equity incentives.
