EHS Coordinator I. (Finance)

A Day in the Life
The responsibilities pertaining to this job will require the selected employee to monitor compliance of the permit requirements in the facility. This includes but is not limited to managing regulated waste, conducting all regulated inspections of EHS Programs. Support the implementation of EHS Program in operational areas. This role will report to Villalba site and will report to EHS Sr Manager.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned. Develops, administers and implements environmental, health, and safety programs in accordance with governmental requirements.

  • Conduct environmental inspections for regulated programs, SPCC, SWPP, PRASA, WELL.

    • Operates the hazardous and nonhazardous storage waste areas, including inspection, shipping, transportation and documentation.

    • Conducts safety inspections, such as eyewash, eye shower, and fire extinguishers.

    • Oversees compliance with PRASA requirements for neutralization plant.

    • Conducts Safety Analysis

    • Supports oversite of EHS contractors and small projects.

    • Conducts Gemba's and EHS general inspections.

    • Oversight of Powered Industrial Truck Program.

    • Ladder inspection

    • Spill material management and inspection

    • Depending on position location, may monitor pollution prevention activities, compliance and auditing efforts.

    • Ensures appropriate corrective action is taken where environmental, health, and safety hazards exist.

    • Identifies and takes corrective action against activities that pose potential threats to workers' health or safety, which may include recommending organizational measures to protect workers' safety through revised methods, processes, or materials; inspecting workplace environments, equipment, and/or practices to ensure compliance with standards and regulations; and investigating and/or identifying causes regarding filed incidents.

    • May provide/promote employee awareness/training on matters of environmental, health, and safety.

Must Have: Minimum Requirements

• 0 years of experience required.

Nice to Have:

• Knowledge in EHS environmental regulations

• OSHA 30 hr. training

High School Diploma
