Sr Admin Support Specialist (Administrative)
Would you like to assist researchers make advances in weather research to save lives and property of all Americans? Then this is the job for you. CIWRO (Cooperative Institute for Severe and High-Impact Weather Research and Operations) is the largest research unit at OU and we do many types of weather research. Some of the advances that have come from our research are increasing the lead time for tornado warnings, development of weather radar data that the entire country uses and learning how to convey the severity of weather warnings to underrepresented groups. Under general supervision, the Sr Admin Support Specialist performs administrative support-oriented job duties, to include but not limited to resolving routine questions and problems, filing maintenance, scheduling appointments, front office reception, inventory management, typing, report preparation, and correspondence.
